Spend some time with Puffy, the Barbados-based DJ who took the Red Bull Thre3style crown.

DJ Puffy from Barbados has been crowned the new Red Bull Thre3style World Champion.

After a week of qualifiers, the Grand Final took place at the Vélodromo del Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile, on Saturday night. The seventh World Finals saw a thousand-strong crowd gather together under the blistering-hot sun to witness some of the best party-starting DJs on the planet vie for the prestigious title.

Among those competing were wild-card entrant Trapment (replete with Justin Bieber T-shirt and bearing musical gifts covering everything from global bass vibes to chart pop), JFB from the UK, Australia’s very own Beast Mode and You-Kirepresenting Japan.

However, it was DJ Puffy who was judged to be the best at rocking the crowd with an eclectic choice of tunes and a compelling stage presence. “I am an energy factory, I’m overwhelmed,” said the 25-year-old after winning the title. “I will carry the torch the best I can as the best DJ in the world for the next year.”

The competition also saw guest sets from the judging panel, world-class masters Nu-Mark, Scratch Bastid, Craze, Z-Trip and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
